How old do I have to be to operate a vessel?

The person signing the contract must be 18, have a valid ID, & credit card.

If the driver is born after January 1, 1988; they must present a boating safety education identification card issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission or the equivalent from another state. Visitors from out of state who do not have a card issued by
their home state can take a Temporary Certificate test. Luther's does offer the temporary Boater's Safety Course. If you need to take the Boater's Safety Course, please allow plenty of time for this, so that you can depart on time.
